Site Accommodation for Taylor Woodrow Construction

 Taylor Woodrow Construction had a requirement for site accommodation for around 60 contracting, supply chain and client staff for the duration of its £47m contract to build Arc – a new mixed-use retail scheme in the centre of Bury St Edmonds.

ConstructionSpace supplied three-storey modular accommodation to be on site for two years until Arc is completed. Facilities include:

• Open plan and cellular office accommodation
• Meeting rooms
• Reception
• Changing, locker and shower rooms
• A canteen for up to 200 people.

The building is constructed from 36 pre-fitted steel-framed modules, which were supplied by ConstructionSpace direct from another construction site, eliminating double handling charges and reducing cost and programme.

"ConstructionSpace presented us with an attractive proposal, which proved to be the most cost-effective solution to our site accommodation needs. It offered the best value for money and the spatial flexibility to suit our requirements. This is a good set up and we have had positive comments from visitors to the site.

On completion of Arc, we will either move the offices to another Taylor Woodrow Construction site or sell the building back to ConstructionSpace."
