Foremans Relocatable Building Systems, the UK’s leading provider of pre-owned modular buildings, has made a new senior staff appointment to head up its ConstructionSpace site accommodation service.

John Hutchinson has been appointed ConstructionSpace Manager, with responsibility for developing the business and realising Foremans’ ambitious plans to become market leaders in the supply of pre-owned building site accommodation.

Based in Dunstable, John will work closely with construction companies who have a need for quality site accommodation and welfare facilities for major building projects, such as PFI healthcare, education, housing and commercial developments. 

John’s career in the construction industry spans 20 years and includes 10 years managing a regional operation for the hire of modular buildings to the construction sector, as well as working in the supply of plant and equipment to the building industry.

ConstructionSpace is believed to be the first web-based service in the UK to provide second hand modular buildings for sale to construction companies on a site-to-site basis. This innovative approach to the procurement of site accommodation eliminates double handling charges, and reduces cost and lead times.

Site offices and ancillary facilities supplied by ConstructionSpace range in size from 100sqm to 3,500sqm and are immediately available for project offices, training, meeting and induction rooms, canteens, locker and drying rooms, shower blocks and security offices. Many of the buildings are supplied pre-fitted with partitions, toilets, meeting rooms, kitchens, and reception areas.

Since it was established, ConstructionSpace has supplied site accommodation to leading national construction companies, such as Skanska, Taylor Woodrow, Kier Construction and Ballymore. 

In addition to its sales service, ConstructionSpace will purchase quality site accommodation that organisations no longer have a need for, and a flexible buy back option is available for any building supplied.
