The Requirement
A site office solution was required in only eight weeks for a prestigious Ballymore housing development in the heart of London Docklands.
Located in the Millennium Quarter, the housing scheme will now under construction will accommodate 199 two-to-four bedroom luxury and affordable apartments and a retail unit in two 22-storey towers and five 5-storey buildings. Residential and commercial property developer Ballymore, one of the leading contributors to the regeneration and success of the Docklands area, is scheduled to complete the project in July 2009.
The Solution
To accommodate the daily requirements of around 500 contracting and supply chain staff and visitors for the duration of the contract, Ballymore purchased a two-storey ConstructionSpace modular site office, providing more than 800sqm of office space and welfare facilities.
ConstructionSpace relocated 23 pre-fitted, steel-framed modules from a pre-owned modular building to the Ballymore site. The building provides showers and changing rooms, a large open plan canteen area with full catering facilities and a cloakroom that is permanently attended to increase security and promote tidiness. The accommodation also includes toilets, a reception area and a suite of first floor offices for up to 20 people.
